"I never really knew the old Melbourne before the Wall, with its sundry pub music, its boutique club glamour, and vaguely dissident art, ..."
Before I start I would like to make an apology to the author for anything that I fuck up here/didn't understand properly. This book tested my brain a bit at times, but I enjoyed it a lot.
So, as far as I understood, we are in the future (I hope) and everything has gone a bit 1984, but not quite 1984 and the government (*spits*) has chopped up society into the good and the bad, the bad being the Deviants.
Matey (I've forgotten his fucking name) is a guy who rounds up the deviants and shoots them a bit. He hates his job but can't see a way out.
Like I've already said, I enjoyed this a lot because it's been a while since I've read anything like this. I read The Hunger Games trilogy, as you may remember, but that brought on menstruation through rage. Have you ever bled from the cunt because you've been so fucking irritated? I have.
So anyway, Matey does he job and lives his weirdly organised life and so on and so forth.
It's a page turner, it's very interesting, and if you like that kind of shit then I recommend you buy it. If you're one of those twats that says silly things like 'Oh, but that would never happen in real life, pfffffftttt' then you should probably leave it alone.
One thing I did struggle with were the film references. I know shit-all about films. Luckily, if you are as ignorant as I am, there is a reference guide at the back.

Ha Ha Ha - awesome! Loved this, matey. Ta.
